After walking one of the main streets “Gran Vía“ and being impressed by the beauty of the city it was time to have dinner; a good selection of wine, Iberic ham and just a few blocks to arrive at “Sala But” to experience the live show of White Lies, sounds good, doesn’t it?

The British band with influences from New Order and Joy Division is touring Europe, promoting their 5th album “Five” and Madrid fans were ready to welcome them with open arms and the characteristic kindness of Spanish people.

One of the first songs performed was “Fairwell To The Fairground”, which set the energy on high levels that the phrase “There´s no place like home” was almost deafening! Another good moment was when they played “Unfinished Business” from the album “To Lose My Life” which on this 2019 is turning 10 years and the band will have an special edition of the album.

Of course, new songs like the catchy “Tokyo” or the show opener “Time To Give” were very well received by the audience singing out loud and as one of their songs say: “If I could make it right, I´d make it right now” They just did everything right with a nice setlist, good performance and a fantastic experience for their Madrid fans.
