On 2017 they were awarded with a Grammy for “Sleep Well Beast”. A nice recognition for the band, which since their debut have enjoyed a growing fan base. On 2019 are promoting their album “I Am Easy To Find” coming to Boston on one of those nights with early sunset in autumn with fallen leaves all over Harvard Square and Cambridge Common.

The Ohio band played for last time in this city on 2018 at the “Boston Calling” in which performed “I Need My Girl” with Maggie Rogers, and Natalie Portman introduced them to the crowd. A night with special guests but with a limited time for playing, so we were waiting for them to come back!

As part of the new album promotion, they played several tracks like: “Rylan”, “You Had Your Soul With You” and “Light Years”. They are touring with a group of backing vocalists that make their songs sound beautiful in harmony with Matt´s voice.

Of course, the hits of prior albums were performed like “Bloodbuzz Ohio”, “The System Only Dreams In Total Darkness” and the powerful “Mr. November” song in which the energy that the band puts on it is just fantastic. Matt in several songs does crowd surfing, walks on the ground floor saying hi to the audience and even goes way up at the assigned seats and sings from there.

Another great moment is when they sing “Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks” with acoustic guitars, trumpets and the entire arena singing! Just confirming the connection with their music and why whenever you need The National music, it is easy to find!
