Back on 2013, the duo from Ohio was touring as opening act for Paramore. Now on 2019 they headline music festivals like Lollapalooza (Including the South American versions), Boston Calling & SZIGET in Hungary. Seems quite an interesting ride and fast success, but Tyler and Josh have demonstrated why Twenty One Pilots came here to stay.

Hearing mixed impressions in regards of how successful they’d be as headliners; the reality appoints to a well-deserved spot. Tyler is such a multifaceted musician, one song you watch him play the ukulele, then bass guitar and suddenly he is at the piano. Josh plays the drums with such energy that encourages yourself to jump at every beat.

Versatility is something that characterizes them by mixing several musical styles, sometimes even in one song. If you listen to Ride you’ll get reggae riffs with electronic beats and Tyler rapping. Might sound strange but those guys know how to do it.

The way how they put together all the instruments and rhythm in Trees and how catchy Chlorine can be, are just some examples of why they are not at the middle of any festival’s line up anymore; they became a solid headliner with many years ahead to maintain that place.
