Back on 2015 we were listening to the album “Beneath the Skin” and wondering when a new Of Monsters and Men album would see the light in the future? Well, the wait is over as on July 2019 they released “Fever Dream” and are currently touring the USA and a little bit further they’ll do it in Europe.
The first single “Alligator” has a very interesting video where you can see Nanna partially as a reptile and particularly this song is a great opener for their shows due to the guitar riff that pumps up the energy on the audience.
The mix of instruments is something unique of this band while performing live, nevertheless they use a trumpet, guitar or accordion on “Little Talks” for example, it sounds great and of course a fantastic moment occurs when all the attendance screams Hey!, After the famous don’t listen to a word I say!
The Icelandic band achieves a high musical quality on their concerts, where the sounds are so identical to the record making your live experience even better. They keep consolidating as an important group on the musical scene with great lyrics and an indie sound that makes us think If Dirty Paws will come to wake us up from our Fever Dream that we do not want to be awake of… Cause we are singing with Of Monsters and Men!
