Infest was their mainstream album when nu metal was all over the top (label that was not liked for some of the bands catalogued into that genre) but the combination of strong riffs and rap was something that in the early 2000’s was the hit.

With songs like Between Angels & Insects, Last Resort, and She Loves Me Not they had great success. As well, Jacoby Shaddix and company are a very energetic band that make the crowd jump at every show.

Papa Roach recognizes the artists that influenced them, on a June 2019 performance at Germany they covered “Firestarter” from The Prodigy with very touching words paying tribute to Keith Flint who unfortunately passed away by committing suicide on March 2019. A great cover full of energy that would make Flint proud.

Over the last years they have experimented with different sounds and rhythms, maybe the most “different” song has been Periscope ft. Skylar Grey, which indeed has nothing to do with their first albums, but is a very good song and artists grow and evolve. Much more in our times where you have access to millions of artists and songs on your phone.

For all of the above, for the good early 2000’s, for being on tour, and to take risks and experiment new sounds, Hurray to Papa Roach! Viva La Cucaracha!
