The band founded by Pete Doherty & Carl Barât has only 3 studio albums, with the first one released on 2002. However they have enjoyed the love of the fans despite, separation, reunions and of course many emotions and fights involved.

One of their best songs is “Don´t Look Back Into The Sun” which is not part of any studio album, was just released as a single or can be found as well on the greatest hits compilation “Time For Heroes-The Best Of The Libertines”.

The energy they display on stage is really something! Hopefully you got the chance to see them live at some point and If don´t, have a glance listening to the live version from the album “Live at O2 Academy Glasgow” in which the drums intro and how the characteristic guitar riff starts is a nice prelude of how Doherty and Barât will exchange turns to sing the verses of the song.

The lyrics take you on a fast track of thoughts as when it says “Don´t look back into the sun, You´ve cast your plans but you´re on the run, And all the lies you said, who did you save?” like If you were confronting someone; Could you imagine how many times they argued and fought? but despite all the lows they came back triumphant on 2015 don´t looking back into the sun and leaving hope in us where a new record and tour will see the light…someday.
