Thoughts about Love Song (For The Apocalypse) An Ira Wolf Song

How 2020 has developed so far isn’t something that was expected, “new normal” times, dealing with a pandemic in which artists and bands had to find new ways to share their music online and as well continuing to find inspiration to create music and songs.

At the beginning of May 2020 Ira Wolf released a new song titled “Love Song (For The Apocalypse)” with such lovely guitar arrangements as she always does, adding a bit of melancholy with violins and that sweet voice that characterizes her.

This is a very nice love song in terms of spending the remaining time with your beloved one because time is limited and is better to enjoy as much as you can that company. Each one can have their own apocalypse; for instance a disease, a miles away separation or an unexpected event. Nevertheless, this song is a reminder of how strong love can be on times of crisis.

With deep and meaningful lyrics such as “And I try to keep on the sunny side, But the sun´s burning me alive, Guess there´s nowhere better to die,  Cause there´s no one that I´d rather watch the world end with” This gives a touch of sadness to the story but embracing and holding till the last moment the hope of being together.

Ira style is distinctive with songs on her repertoire like “Sunscreen”, “Great Divide”, “Whiskey and Weed”, “Pictures on a Wall” or “Can´t Say”. But in this song, she is able to show an ending sad story with a beautiful touch, where no matter what apocalypse you are dealing with is always good to be with someone while going trough it.
