Ira Wolf, Folk On A Road Trip

Atlanta was witness of another stop from Ira Wolf’s trip, an endeavor that she bravely started after coming back from Boston, making the decision to start a road trip to pursue her musical dream. The Montana born flipped a coin to decide between Portland and Nashville, destiny took her to the city where Broadway Street is alive and country music scene is anywhere; Nashville.

The night started with a rainy challenge, supposedly were going to be thunderstorms all day but it heavily started an hour before the show. Of course this didn’t stop the fans to experience a night full of folk and talking points about vans, cars and life.

She stepped into the stage just with her guitar, and with the cozy characteristic of a small venue it provided the feeling of an intimate show with a peaceful connection between her and the audience, just to enjoy a beautiful and powerful voice with the melody of her guitar.

The moment of silence at the venue while she was performing songs like “Great Divide”, “Ruby” (name of her van that has taken her practically anywhere on the United States) & Fickle Heart, changed immediately with the applause she received after finishing each song while she was talking in between some interesting stories, like the one in which her song “Sunscreen” was written on the west coast after she got sunburned. In addition this song has some lovely lyrics like: “I want someone who can ground me when I´m too high, light up the dark side of my head”.

To exemplify her story, she has a song called “Pictures On A Wall” with very nice references of cities and places on the United States about her life and road trip on a van. You may wonder what would be her next stop? Well, touring wise she will travel to the UK for a tour next February 2020, but she also shared that she will establish in Nashville and she is excited about having now a home that is not on wheels.

At the end we are all travelers in this world, but she is an example of bravery to pursue dreams, and no matter where she goes, we are happy to follow her on any folk road trip with her songs.
